overwhelmed and understimulated

Drinking: cherry-vanilla root beer

here lately, the last couple of days in particular, my life has become ridiculously more complex and stressful. had a stupid throat infection, which totally screwed up my momentum at my new job, the people i love are all being totally insensitive and selfish, and i've got a bathtub plumbing catastrophe that has evolved into a pretty undesirable situation involving water and, well, everything touching the floor in my room.
but it's not all bad...
i am soon going to be illustrating a children's book and i'm extremely stoked about it! and i'm also working on another illustration for the cover of a nonfictional book by the same author.

amidst all the nonsense and chaos and hard feelings, though, i'm finding it a bit difficult to be as excited about the positive things right now.
wish me luck.
i totally need it.
